A few weeks ago I went to a baby shower for a co-worker. She is expecting twins and is due any minute now! I was very pleased to get the thank you note – most people are not polite enough to send them out nowadays!
I had bought her a baby sling for one of the babies. I had a baby sling that I used when my kids were infants, and I absolutely loved it! I think that every baby should be carried in a baby sling, kept close to the comfort of their mother. I’m sure that she will be using it a lot!
Ever since I have been invited to Crystal’s baby shower I have been worrying about what in the world to get her that she doesn’t already have? Ever since she found out that she was pregnant she has spent almost every paycheck on things for the new baby! So I was thinking back to the time when my babies were newborn and my mother came to visit us for a couple of weeks to “help.” She was no “help” at all. So with that in mind, I have arranged to give her a gift certificate to a raleigh house cleaning service for three months worth of house cleaning while she is getting used to having a new baby in the house. I sure wish someone had done that for me!
