I thought I’d share with you one of my T2T projects in greater detail.  This is a picture of the supplies that I used to turn an empty chicken can into a pretty trinket box.  Not pictured are the Plaid Folk Art Outdoor Paints, and the glue that I used.

This is a picture of the inside of the jewelry box.  It is lined with a velveteen fabric.  It came out very pretty!  I gave it as a gift to my sister-in-law, and she was thrilled with it!  I’ve had several requests from friends/relatives to make some for them!

Usually when we go into a craft store, my hubby waits for me impatiently to buy the supplies that I want to get.  This time, we found a section that sells model cars that you build and paint yourself.  Bingo!  One of my hubby’s favorite hobbies!  We used the 40% off coupon to buy one for him.  I guess I won’t have to be dragging him, kicking and screaming to the craft store in the future!  He’ll be begging me to take him!  LOLOL!

Today I have to run errands in a city that is over an hour’s drive away.  Normally I run errands closer to home, but hubby has a doctor’s appointment, and I’m going with him.  There are some Michael’s Arts & Crafts stores and some AC Moore craft stores near his doctor’s office, and we plan to stop into both of them to do a little bit of craft supply shopping.  We got coupons in the Sunday papers for 40% off any one item for both of the stores, and we plan to use them!

We don’t live near either of those stores, so it is a major “big deal” to me when I get the chance to swing by one on the rare occasions that we are driving by one.

Last time my sister came for a visit, we drove into the city and signed up for a rock painting class at the craft store. The teacher was a well known artist and I have all of her books at home.

I changed it a little bit by using a burnt out vanity light bulb instead of a Christmas ornament ball.  I think it came out adorable!
