This morning I was watching The Today Show on television and they were talking about the newest web sensation – a video of a couple of twin baby boys having a conversation. They only showed a short piece of the video, but I thought that they were so cute that I just had to look it up and watch the entire video. I found several versions of it, but this version here seems to be the “best” original video. I hope you get a good chuckle out of it too!
Kiss and Tell
by Mary AnneHave you ever noticed what a huge difference there is between boys games and girl games? Although both boys and girls play sports, with some variations for girls to compensate for strength and size, the video games and games online are extremely different.
I was looking at the list of game on the website: http://www.easygirlgames.com and there is not much on that site that would interest a boy. But I suspect the preteen and teen girls will love the types of games there. Most of the games seem to be targeting girls between the ages of 9 and 15, although the maturity of today’s young girls can surprise us.
One group of silly games for the girls are the kissing games. Sometimes I am uncomfortable with the media trying to push being sexy and falling in love on younger girls, but then again, when their hormones kick in and all their friends at school are talking about it, then most girls will be curious and want to check it out.
Cobbled
by Mary AnneOur new puppy is incredibly affectionate and I love cuddling with him. But sometimes it gets in the way of what I need to do. He loves to sit next to me on the sofa when I watch TV, or on the bed with me if I want to use my laptop for a little while and get away from the noise of the living room.
But tonight he seems to want more attention than usual. When he sits on the bed next to me, he keeps laying his head across my arm and looking up at me and crying. It is so cute! But I can’t move my hand to type with his head laying across my arm. Every time I push him away, he comes right back and cries louder!
Opening the pool
by Mary AnneMy hubby has been talking about trying to find a good deal on pool chemicals in the next couple of weeks so he can get ready to shock and clean our pool and get it ready to open for the season. He’s really been missing being able to go out and swim laps in our own pool. In the interest of saving money he didn’t renew his pool membership to the indoor pool this winter, but he has been going crazy without his daily swim! I think I’d like to buy one of those solar pool coverings to warm up the pool so we can extend the season for him.
As for me, I like to dangle my legs in the pool, but I’ve never been a good swimmer. It’s a good thing that our house came with an in-ground pool to begin with because I’d never spend the money to put one in. Now as for a spa, that’s a different story! I love them!
Good flavor
by Mary AnneA couple of weeks ago I went shopping and had a coupon that I wanted to use to try a product I had not tried before. It was for Wheat Thins toasted chips. I bought the Garden Valley Veggie flavor, thinking that I might like it. When I brought it home, however, I put it away in the pantry closet and promptly forgot all about it. This afternoon I was looking for a snack to eat and my eyes fell on the bag of Wheat Thins.
I decided to take the plunge and give it a try. It is really delicious! I’ve already eaten half the bag. I hope it doesn’t give me heartburn!
