I sure had a wonderful Thanksgiving today. Lots of good food and good company. And plenty of leftovers for later! Yeah, that is what I’m talkin’ about!
My friend in rural Maine is finally getting high speed internet
by Mary AnneMy good friend in rural Maine has finally ceded to pressure of friends and family to get high speed internet. It’s not that he didn’t WANT high speed internet, it is because out where he lives, he believed that the only internet available to him has been dial-up. He has been on the “waiting list” for DSL and cable for the past ten years, and he has been told that it will be at least another ten years before they will be running their services out in his area.
He has high speed internet service at his office, in Augusta, but not at home. He has told me many times how much he loves the high speed services, and how frustrating it is for him to try to use the slow dial-up at home. He has been most anxious to get high speed services at home.
