Well my doctor has been on vacation and the jerk that is filling in for him won’t give me anything to make this sinus infection go away. There are notes in my file that say that I should be given antibiotics when I get sick, but he is refusing to honor the note. When my regular doctor returns from vacation I am going to have to ask him to give me antibiotics to have on hand for when I get sick and he can’t be reached. This is awful!
Happy trick or treating!
by Mary AnneWanted to wish everyone a very Happy Halloween this year, and hope your kids have a special time going around trick or treating.
Was not sure what to give away this year for candy, so I went to Walgreens and got 10 bags of assorted candies to give out. Always a fun time seeing the neighbors and their kids this time of year, all dressed up and happy. Even the weather is supposed to be nice – no rain and not so cold that the kids have to wear coats that cover up their cute costumes.
Anyways, I am off to get dressed up for the night. I will write to you all later.
Cold season
by Mary AnneWell the weather is going crazy around here, cold mornings and warm afternoons. The perfect season for catching colds, and yes, I’ve caught one myself! And it’s a real doozy of a cold! Whenever I catch a cold it immediately goes into a sinus infection and I’m miserable for several weeks. I’ve got to try to get hold of my doctor and try to convince him to put me on antibiotics to shorten the misery, but my doctor is often reluctant to do that right away. Wish me luck! I’m pretty miserable!
Cool conversion software
by Mary AnneMy kids have been telling me that they found a website that converts audio and video files from one format to another. They said it is a new program that is quick and easy to use, and that the company is offering a free trial download of the program. They lost me when they started talking about video encoding. I’m embarrassed to say I don’t even know what video encoding is! I feel so old!
Modern bedroom furniture
by Mary AnneModern Bedroom Furniture is what my niece says she wants for her new apartment. She is moving out of her parents’ house for the first time in a few months, and she is looking for modern furniture for her new place. She came over yesterday to rummage around my basement and see if I had any “hand me down” furniture items she could have. She says her biggest hope for her Modern Bedroom Furniture is to have a really great Modern Platform Bed.
She says she has been looking at furniture from the eroomservice.com website and has found several different platform beds that she likes a lot. She hasn’t yet made up her mind which one she wants, but has narrowed it down to four favorites. She said that the website sells some really nice bedroom sets and that she is trying to decide whether to buy the complete set, or just the bed and then try to do some mix and match with the rest of the bedroom furniture.
She found a couple of modern lamps in my basement that she liked that I wasn’t using – my house isn’t decorated in the modern style, and these lamps were given to me by a friend. I told her she was welcome to take them, and she was thrilled.
